Also, wenn man sich hier mal den unteren Teil aus der PK von Beale durchliest, wird einem echt übel. Wir haben schon in jedem Spiel seit Monaten mindestens 10 Ausfälle und dann bekommt man noch mit, wie andere Spieler trotz Verletzungen und Erkrankungen spielen, weil sonst gar nichts mehr gehen würde. So auch ja jetzt Tavernier, der privat nach Aberdeen fuhr, um die Mannschaft nicht anzustecken und wie zu sehen auch Spieler, die eigentlich bereits hätten operiert werden müssen. Schon echt ein Risikospiel in Sachen Verantwortung, aber Einstellung und Moral der Mannschaft sind mehr als einwandfrei.

Ja, das ist dann nicht nur das Saisonende, sondern vor allem auch das Karriereende. Es passt einfach zu dieser unglaublichen Saison. Chin up, Steven!

Rangers boss Michael Beale confirms fresh Antonio Colak injury blow

Beale knows what he’s capable of. And as the manager attempts to construct a new-look Rangers side, he’s adamant that there will always be room for Roofe. He said: “The way I’ve set the team up - I have left a big hole for Kemar to come back. You look at the whole squad and how we should play to get the most out of a Malik Tillman or Scott Arfield, for example. “We should always have one of them on the pitch because they arrive late in the box. How do we get the best attributes out of Fashion Sakala and Roofe? “They play near the forward, so there are two of them. Then you have Ryan Kent, Tom Lawrence, Alex Lowry or Ianis Hagi who comes and helps the midfield. “So you try to find a blend that suits the whole squad. If Kemar can get fit and healthy, he’ll come into the team and slot right in. “But I will only be as successful as how fit the players are. That’s why in the transfer window, I have to think: ‘if this one comes in, how will it impact someone else’? “Kemar is extremely frustrated. He is a really outgoing kid, a bubbly character and a leader. “Three or four weeks ago he was the best player in training by a distance. But the day before the game, he had a calf problem again. It was devastating for me and the team. “I’m optimistic about Kemar now but the proof will be in the pudding. He has aims here and he is incredibly frustrated that he couldn’t help us more. “But he feels if he is fit he can make a huge impact on how successful we are. I think he would say he is ready now.” Beale admits Roofe might never be completely free of the calf issues that have riddled his career so far. He’s convinced that if he’d been injury free, he would have achieved far more in the game - at Rangers or elsewhere. And Beale says he’s a clear example of how the club has suffered due to missing key players. He said: “Kemar is a battle-scarred senior player now and he will never feel perfect when he plays. “He has gone to great lengths to speak to different people and get to the bottom of his issues. So far, so good but we have to manage him. Some days he doesn’t feel great, other days he does. “It’s to do with his calf area and he's had it since he was young. At different times, he’s missed a lot of football. “His value and how he is viewed would be far greater if he’d played more regularly. He is a great player and the year we won the league, Kemar, Kent and Alfredo were very potent. “We had a lovely mix with the three of them. But that was lost to Steven and then to Gio van Bronckhorst. “His goal return is very good. Gio would have been extremely frustrated that Kemar, Tom Lawrence, Connor Goldson, Ridvan Yilmaz, Ben Davies and Filip Helander were all unavailable. “The last manager and myself haven’t been able to use the full value of this squad. You come to a point where you think: ‘Are they ever going to come back and be what they were’? “Injuries have hurt us and we need to get through that and out the other side.”

Einen gesunden Roofe könnte man auch weiterhin gut gebrauchen. Aber er war seine gesamte Karriere über leider zu anfällig.
