Die Finanzen stehen über allem. Obwohl wir letztes Jahr auch erst im August und gegen Ende des Fensters zugeschlagen haben. Selbst ich als Pessimist rechne noch mit 1-2 Neuzugängen. I-)

United snap up Rangers Duo

United will add two new faces to their squad with the signings of Steven Kinniburgh and Ross Perry from Glasgow Rangers.

Steven, 20, is a six foot tall left back while Ross is a current Scottish under 21 international centre half.

Both should be cleared to join the club on loan until early January, subject to international clearance.

Manager Chris Wilder is hoping to have them available for the first time as United travel to AFC Wimbledon on Saturday:

"We are always looking to lift the squad and provide good competition and we have done that with these two boys. We are delighted that they are coming down. It is a pat on the back for all involved that a club of the size of Glasgow Rangers want to be associated with us and feel they can send two of the best young players they've got to continue their education. The lads want to come and play and we have a strong squad now with great options."

Aaron Goes Back To Spain

AARON NIGUEZ has left Rangers to return to Spain and sign for La Liga outfit Celta Vigo.

The young Spaniard was on a two-year loan deal from Valencia but has retuned to his homeland.

Aaron started just once for Rangers last season and made five appearances in total.

He scored twice - both goals coming in the Scottish Cup against Forfar and Hamilton Accies.

The youngster was called up by Spain's under-21 side and will play in Euro qualifiers in the next 10 days.

However, he has now cut his ties with Rangers and is looking to relaunch his career in Vigo.

He becomes the 10th player to leave Ibrox since the end of last season following Christian Dailly, Brahim Hemdani, Barry Ferguson, Charlie Adam, Alan Gow, Graeme Smith and Dean Furman plus Andy Webster and Andrius Velicka who are on season-long loans with Dundee United and Bristol City.

Velcika, of course, has just suffered major knee damage and is facing a long spell out.

Ich habe gar nichts für das Aussortieren vom toten Holz. Und da gehören auch Beasley und Aaron zu. Keine Frage. Uns gehen nur mittlerweile die Spieler aus. Man kann nicht mit so einem Kader in eine derart lange Saison gehen. Das ist fahrlässig und langsam auch schon unverantwortlich in Richtung Gesundheit der Spieler.
